Virtual Spanish Tutoring

We like to share our policies and procedures up front. That way, we can build a trusting professional relationship with no surprises.

ENG 2 SPA defines its virtual Spanish tutoring service as one 30-minute session where our tutor connects with the customer virtually to discuss, assist, and expand the customer’s understanding, knowledge, and fluency of the Spanish language. 

These sessions are not meant to teach Spanish, but rather to assist the customer with their current Spanish proficiency level which may go from basic to proficient (fluent.)

These sessions are paid in advanced, at the moment of scheduling. Although our virtual Spanish tutoring sessions are available to anyone, only individuals older than 18 years of age can schedule an appointment.  Regardless of whether they choose to turn on their camera or not, any minor participating in the virtual tutoring session, must have a parent or guardian present at the beginning of every session to consent to the session and to assist with connecting, if needed. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay during the entire tutoring session.

While the Zoom platform is the default option when a customer books a session on our website, MS Teams may be an alternative. If that’s the case, please notify us via text or email right after you schedule the session. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to connect on time for the virtual tutoring session. These sessions are time that has been set aside for the customer and time that ENG 2 SPA has planned to be away from other customers. We understand things happen, so the customer may cancel the session by notifying ENG 2 SPA via phone call, text, email, or through the ‘contact us’ form in our website. However, any tutoring session cancelled less than 24 hours from the appointment will be still be charged 50% of the current rate. (See our refund policy for more details.) 

ENG 2 SPA’s virtual tutoring sessions are meant to be only for the customer. Although the customer may possess a copy of every recorded session, that’s to be used only for personal reviewing, and may not at any moment be reproduced, shared, uploaded, or used for any other means or purpose.

Additionally, for the benefit and safety of both parties -- the customer and ENG 2 SPA -- every tutoring session must be recorded. To avoid any incidents of inappropriate video, the customer and anyone present in the room during the tutoring session must be fully dressed regardless of whether they choose to turn on their camera or not.
